Well i installed the wii-key chip Saturday i made a boot disk everything works great. This chio was easy as the X-Bit was for me. Now i have heard and read that in order to copy backups of the wii disk you need a LG drive. Well as i am typing i am dumping wii-sports a disk i own to a raw dump with unscramble unchecked with the drive that is in my Dell Inspiron B130 laptop TSST corp DVD+-RW TS-L532B DE04 All i did was used a driver that i found compatible to an LG drive and replaced it with it. After it dumps i will unscramble it and let you know if it works. As for Homebrew no problems for me works great and the media i use is Maxell DVD-R. Also will try doing a SD install without that of a Gamecube memory card.

nvm i found a dremmel that i could use.  ill probably try the method that directly solders the wires to the cut leg without grinding down the chip.

If there's enough pin left sticking out then it's not that bad; 3/4 of the leg cut wiis I've modded so far have had their legs cut flush though, so soldering to the nubs is more work then it's worth (once you get the hang of the dremmel method you can do it pretty quickly.)

hello everyone,

thanks first and foremost. i am new to soldering but my buddy has experiences soldering before but we do not know which part of the wiikey should be soldered onto where??

i also have the wire method but i dont know what to solder to with the wire? can somebody please post a picture , preferably bigger then the picture on the wiikey.cn site because i can't see well from that pix and i don't want to mess up. so can someone please post a picture with a wiikey wire method soldered onto the wii motherboard, please make sure the picture is big so i can tell exactly where which part goes to which part. thanks.
