Now im not sure exactly how accurate this site is... but according to them the ps3 has sold 1/3 the amount as the wii world wide... (i knew the wii outsold ps3 but to see some acc figures is still fun)

now seeing as the PS3 is dead/dying... i think our forum for PS3 should follow suit

i just thought its a fun for us Wii addicts to know that PS3 got served.

(and obviously 360 is way far ahead of both... what else is new)

but haven't Sony's exclusive developer numbers gotten smaller??? I thought more developers that used to develop for just sony have now started developing for the 360?? I could be wrong about this.. but I thought I'd read that somewhere

i think an example of that is final fantasy... also when developers realize that the Wii is alot more popular than the PS3 many will start developing for them because its all about the money its not like the developers are like no id rather develop for PS3 cuz we always have in the past. even if it is failing currently

For first party titles, everyone loses when a developer moves to another system. eg Microsoft bought Rare but Nintendo still owns Donkey Kong.

I thought Sony still gets the main Final Fantasy games exclusively, but MS and Nintendo can have stuff like tactics and chronicles. I could be wrong though.

Hell, I'm more of a nintendo fanboy than anything, but I think Sony will get their act together and put out all those awesome franchise games they own (I love the platformers).. Then maybe they can get back into the race.

Remember, devs hated the PS2 for at least a couple of years (though I guess it doesn't have the numbers this time around to be worth learning).

Maybe it's just hard for me to believe that Sony fucked up so terribly, even the DC did better in it's first few months

just that remark about zelda not taking advantage of the wii... im not sure if u have played it but i would have to say that zelda on Wii is far superior to that of its GC counterpart. the controls are flawless and also for a game that is  65 plus hours the way it is on the wii is perfect. idk about you but 60 hours of redsteel in a week would make me sore but with zelda its nothing.

and the reason ps2 was such a market leader is it had no competition for something like 2 years.

and the fishy remark... yeh no kidding! i mean i dont want this to seem like a lash out at anyone or the scene but i thought it was about being a modders database resource not a person(s) view of what systems they think should be modded etc etc..  but moving on from that

Dont get me wrong, Zelda is great and yes better on the Wii than the Gamecube.  However, development did start on the gamecube and it was later modified for the Wii.  I have no doubt that the next zelda will be even better.

oh ok i just thought u meant u were under the impression that it is less than par for the Wii and i wouldnt want u to think that because i think ZTP is a reason alone to get the wii plus the virtual console stuff is great too... leaving out so many other benefits of the wii to name a few.

Does anyone know the adverage of Wii games purchases per console?
How about ps3 games per console?

Nintendo has NEVER had the games sony or microsoft had because they are for kids. however I know a few people who had purchased a wii as a gift for their PARENTS.

the ps3 is in the dust and it wont get out of it unless it 1) drops the price 2) releases better ps3 only games 3) attach c4 to their plant and just end it.

there is a funny song parody on wiihaveaproblem.com.

im not how accurate these sources are but in a very shallow search i found that according to this website:
wii games per console
we have something like 5 games sold per wii...

and in this website:
PS3 sales per console
and for ps3 a wopping less than one game per console.


so yeh if those are true PS3 has more issues than meets the eye

I have 5 games and my friend has 9.

The only pro i see to the PS3 is the blue ray player, And blue ray players are dropping in price all the time. So I will never get a PS3.

I personally have something like four games and one on reserve... so effectively 5 games and that doesnt include wii sports the line in my last post "wii games per console" is a link for some reason it isnt underlined
