Hi there, error404 is back again.
First of all say sorry about my possible English language mistakes. I'm Spanish, but I will try to give my best.
Oh Yeah! A Spanish team, named Ninja Team, has developed the first wii modchip.
Here is general information about wiinja modchip:
-Loads the backups of Wii and Gamecube of your own (proper) region (PAL/NTSC) directly. If your console is PAL, it does not accept NTSC games and vice versa.
-Easy installation * Only 5 Cables to solder *
-Modchip not updatable. (or maybe yes ;P, readme a bit down ;P).
The modchip is already being shelled in some Spanish stores at 39.95 euros, just like
futura-onlineThe are many ways of making Wii games backups, you can modify the firmware of your DVD to allow make a raw copy, and then convert it to ISO format with a application called unscrambler. Or you can use the rawdump program, that allows to copy discs of Wii and GC with a reader LG of the family GDR, this program continues getting up-to-date. The last version (0.4) eliminates the need to use the DVDInfo and allows rip the discs 5 times more quick, (it will take 2-10 hours to make the dump to the hard drive). You need also to have Net framework 2.0 to run this aplication.
Many Spanish people thinks this mod chip is a kind of PIC EPROM, nearly most 12c508/9, like previous play station one modchips, or smart cards ( piccard), for digital TV hacking. That means maybe we can try to unprotect this modchip. Then take out his source code, and buy a 12c508/9 PIC EPROM for 0,6-2 euros, program it with a pic programmer, ( just like T-20), and that way it will be also updatable ;P
Here are some pics:

I strongly recommend to use the showed below adapter and that you do not sold directly this wiinja modchip or the future home made one ;P ( PIC EPROM), to the cables that are solder to the wii drive board. So we can extract the chip, and put it on the programmer to update its code.

Have fun!.
