I have it installed locally, but the Wii won't let me access my home server for some reason. It doesn't work from 127.0.0.1 or the IP. The IP works on any other browser. Any ideas?

try using the share name of your desktop

for instance if it's "mycomputer12345" then try "http://mycomputer12345/"

OK, I got that working. I had used a dyndns address before, so this time I entered the actual IP, which works.

So, I got it all set up and it works great locally, but it is extreeeeemely slow loading on the Wii. The pages themselves load slow, but bearable, but when it comes to playing the file, it loads about 1% per minute. Any ideas? Other websites load fine; Wii updates load very slow.

Yes, unless it's normal for an update to take nearly an hour. Other websites load fine though. I just tried finetune again (radio's back! woohoo!) and it loads fast, so I'm not sure. Maybe there's some kind of port forwarding to do?

Ya, that's the interface I'm using. That part loads fine, it's once the flash player comes up that it chokes. I just checked out wiimediacenterx, but the mac version has to be run from the command line right now and when i did that it failed during some checks, so I just gave up on that. If I could get this working better, I would probably help with making a Wii-optimized skin.

EDIT: Got it working! I tried using the local IP (192.168.x.x) and that works much better. Nice program!

Well, I did some work on it and it's getting much more usable on the Wii. I put the media player in its own frame so you can still browse around without interrupting your music. I then removed all the extra crap I didn't need, like recent albums, and the CD covers, which didn't work anyway and boiled it down to just a list of artists with a play button by each one. What I would like to do is get the quick search and browse by artist links into the bottom frame, but it'll take a bit of work getting both frames to load into each other.

Anyways, if anyone has good knowledge of php and wants to help, let me know.
Here's a pic of the progress of day 1.

Here's a shot of the individual page. I removed the checkboxes and stuff, because frankly, I'll either listing to the entire artist, entire album, or one song. I don't have a need for making a playlist of just some of the songs from an album. I'll probably remove the times and track numbers also. By the way, I'm altering the core of the player, so you won't be able to just add all this as a skin, but I can make the files available if anyone is interested.
Here's a screenshot of the album page.

OK.. One last edit for now, I promise. I got the artist letter selection into the other frame and working and also made the frames invisible, so everything is working just how I wanted it! Thanks nxumdon and jinzora! Here's a screenshot. Knowing me, I probably won't rest here, even though it's all functional, so if anyone has suggestions, I'd like to hear them.

Yep, after all my years of web design, I finally found a purpose for them. It works well, so the music plays while you continue to browse.

Hey Ben, good to hear from you. I'd try out your skin, but my jinzora is now so heavily modified, I can't just switch skins. Like I mentioned, I just boiled my version down to the bare essentials. I do believe though, that this would be enough for most people and would make for a nice Wii-install package. I'll try to clean it up and send you the files of what I've done. I do think an AJAX version would be nice, but I don't have time to work on that.
