Damn, can I come over? j/k
Nice ass setup, though. Too bad I live in an apartment; don't have the space to set up something that nice sad.gif
I was thinking of ghanging to DLP, though, and just take my entertainment center out.  I could move the DVD player, but now that I think about it, I could probably just use my PC and stream video to the projector (if not directly, then with XBMC). Then I have to get rid of a TV (kinda do already). I also thought maybe I should save my money, and buy a nice plasma (since they have 25 year ones now). Anybody know some pros & cons for both?

Now that ive got both an HDTV and a projector, i find it very hard to decide on where to watch movies or play games.  I love having such a big screen to watch them on and also the sound is pretty good.  My new sound system is better and the sub is much stronger in the family room and the HDTV has a much higher clarity picture.  Usually if its a movie with lots of action then i will watch it on my new system and if its a comedy or something like that then usually i will watch it on the projector.  Ive also got my xbox hooked up and connected to my server where i can stream my tv shows through XBMC onto either system.  Ive got a crap computer hooked up to the projector as well with VNC access to my other computers.  It seems to work out pretty well.

Mine Sucks MORE!!

The TV is a 27" Sony I got and recalibrated, so it's back in focus, the colors don't run into each other, the tint is balanced, and the convergence is fixed.  It has no Component inputs, just S-Video, but the DVD Burner (Insignia IS-DVD1001(21)) can input Component and downscale it to S-Video and it will look somewhat decent (not really).  The surround receiver is an old RCA RT2250 (from a HT in-a-box kit) that outputs something that resembles surround sound.  The two front speakers are some old Aiwa's that came with it, another Aiwa for the center channel, a dual driver RCA sub, and some RCA surround speakers for the rear channels.  Not that good, but not that bad for something that was almost free.

Have a good laugh (And no, I did not decorate this room)...

All in all, I think this cost me $35 and a day to set up and readjust the TV.  Like I said, not much, but for something that cost very little, I really can't complain (well, I can, but...).
