Xbox Official Mn 740 Wireless Adapter And Using It With Softmodded Xbo

Hi there,

I've searched all over and can't seem to get a good answer to this.
I have an xbox wireless adapter I just bought for my softmodded xbox. Of course the original disc will not work and there is no ms dashboard to use on a softmodded xbox.  Without screwing bigtime with my xbox, how can I setup the adapter? can I use the pc to set it up if I hook up the adapter that way? I'm not sure what to do...

the MN-740 must be setup in the MS dash

fix the MS dash
OR
setup on a working xbox
