Well I have been using Opera for years.  Not on the wii, but on the PC.  I hope they dont screw it up trying to make it all idiot proof.

I tried it very briefly just now and it's smooth! All the CSS and everything is perfect. The only problem I've found so far is that it crashes when you try to play a MP3 or M3U file. Youtube works great though.

Do we get to keep this free trial forever or will it stop working when the final comes out?

http://en.wikipedia....iki/Wii_Browser

Is there anything Wikipedia doesn't know? That's nice, it looks the the final browser will be free at first also. Nintendo's just kicking ass with this console.

The browser supports Flash. It is a version of Flash player 7, and it supports sendAndLoad(). This means lots of fun client/server flash applications can be developed.

Both YouTube and Google Video play on the Wii Web Browser Internet Channel, and I can stream media from my PC to my Wii using ORB.com

I have created a quick portal page to get to all of the Wii Compatible websites without having to type in long urls. All you need to do is type in this URL once then bookmark it:

http:// tinyurl . com /vcr8m

Let me know if there are other links you would like me to add.

cool shit.. ill have to do the same, and check yours out also, good idea.

anyone else have a problem with youtube saying flash not enabled?
also, why is it not full screen?
also, now i need component cables.

edit edit: This shit is awesome. duck hunt is cool. dunno, this might be the collest part of the wii, lots of awesome homebrew games coming in im sure!

Thought this would be a very appropriate place to post!

Using Opera 9.00 on xp sp2 the Search function of xbox-scene never returns any results for me.. i just get the picture of the Dog loading.. and loading .. forever.
Pop the same URL into IE7 and it works the first time.

I tried changing the page preferences to mask as Mozilla, IE, report as Mozilla, Opera, IE.. didnt chage the result.

Any help appreciated because i hate having to switch to IE wheneevr i want to search these forums =)

Cheers,
