Ok i meant to post this sooner, but i forgot,

Ive been having a few issues with my wiimote, nothing major, just annoyances, i mean it usually works fine.

sometimes the player 4 led will not light up when the wiimote is connecting to the console, perhaps a faulty connection, havnt had chance to open it up and check.

and sometimes the remote will not connect to the console at all, but this will be after i have powered on the console with it and entered a channel, most usually the disc channel, it will disconnect as ive noticed is normal but does not reconnect, and i cannot sync it again for a few minutes.

like i said minor things but i'm wondering if this is software issues or perhaps my wiimote is faulty? It's not like the connection is intermittent, once its connected it usually stays connect, like I've been playing Zelda for a few hours now with no problems.

So anyone else had similar problems or is it just me? I only have the one wiimote right now so i can't check another one against my console.

I had a problem with the wiimote one time. I paused my system while playing a game, then went to the store. I came back 3 hours later and the wiimote would not respond no matter what I did. I tried replacing the batteries, tried to resync it, rebooted the system, turned it off and waited 15 minutes. Nothing worked. Then I just gave up and left it off for a while and magically the wiimote started working again. This only happened once, so I guess it does have some minor issues.

I thought so too, but mine works fine now.

na, that has happened to me twice now. Its nothing major, just a restart of the system and it works again. Ive been using the wii quite a bit so with this only happening twice, im not too worried. There has been twice as well where i had to unplug the system to turn it off because none of the buttons would respond.

3 times i have had it lock up and make a loud buzzing noise.... every time i almost have a heart attack as i run to unplug it.... but it has only happend 3 times with me constantly playing it sence release day.

I've had a few problems here or there...

I've never really looked at the 4 LEDs (as I've never played more then 2 player) but I've had remotes loose sync... one time it would just refuse to connect, I'd push the button, it'd blink at me a few times and shut back off.

I wonder if it's cross talk from other RF based devices?

I've also had other issues with the Wii like abnormally slow updates and downloads, and it locks up solid every so often..

last night I had a disc loading issue where I put Zelda in, it recognized the disc as Zelda but it would make a clicking noise every 3 seconds, I tried playing it but it just sat on a black screen until I ejected and re-inserted the disc.... then it worked fine, but the 2nd player controller magically just turned on while sitting on the coffee table while playing Zelda... no idea why.

it's easily the buggiest Nintendo console I've ever owned. Most of my other Nintendo consoles were release units too.

Id call it peppy. Like a girl that can bend in wierd ways. Some call it odd but i accept it.

For the fourth LED that's doesn't light up, what I've discovered is that when you connect it or you turn on your Wii, the LED flashing represent how much batterie you have. I too had this 4 LED not working after a few days. Then I went to my friends who had play alot and much more use on his batteries. There were just 2 LED blinking at startup.

Finally, I've replaced my batteries then Boom, 4th LED came back. Same with my firends. And my second Wiimote also blink 3 of 4 Leds right now, but all four were blinking before yesterday gaming sessions. So on my side, I feel confident it's related to this.

That happend to me once but it was when I unpluged my classic controller. I was playing a vc game and then when the screen went black I unplug the controlelr from my wiimote and bam it wouldn't respond at all. So then all i did was unplug the console's power plug and plug it back in and it worked perfectly fine.

Have you checked Nintendo's website for your second problem? It looks to be this taken directly from their troubleshooting.

exact same problem im having...im gonna wait untill after the new house episode and try it again

It seems to work...
I had my console since the beginning of december and I've been playing for sometime now...
Unplugging the power is easy, fast and it works 100% of the times.
I do have another issue that is bugging me:

In the setup of WiiConnect you can turn it on and you can control separetely the StandBy Feature. The standby feature on will make the console very hot... it will use the wireless and it will connect to the internet trying to update the channels.
I noticed that turning StandBy off on WiiConnect does not make the console so hot.

So I wrote to Nintendo about it:

I have a comment in regards of the ForeCast Channel.
It has been added two days ago.
I don't think it has been delivered properly.
There is a bug.
If in the setup of the Wii I turn off StandBy Mode from the Wii 24 Connect
the channel refuses to update stating that my internet Wii 24 Connect is not Activated.
I have it activated but not on standby.
There is a reason why I don't keep standby on, it heats up the unit too much...
I noticed it was very hot and I turned it off.
My System Update and my shopping channel work OK only the new Forecast channel has the issue..
Can you fix it in the new release of the software?

I can't speak as to exactly why the Forecast Channel requires that WiiConnect24 be set to standby, but I can tell you that it is normal for the system to feel warm when in that mode. This is a normal function of the system and not an indicator that something is wrong. Answers to many additional Wii console troubleshooting questions may be found on our support website. Now Nintendo released the new version of the Firmware adding the News Channel (neat, eh?), the problem is still there and in addition we have the rumble Wiimote bug - notice if you turn it off it will go on by itself after the console reboots...

What's wrong with this guys?

Are they looking forward to get our console fried so we buy new ones ....

Just a few lines...

I'm pretty happy with it after all, it is amazing, just very buggy ... Hope they start fixing issues soon...

if u unplug the nunchuck at the wii menu my wiimote starts going trhough rumble mode and doesnt stop
