Over at maxconsole, they have found out that a SD card adapter for gamecube memory cards will load emulators that were made for the gamecube, or so they say.

Would you mind preforming a packet dump of a firmware update and sharing it? Also, in particular, could you pay attention to traffic over port 21? Or, catch over the wire, a VC game download? For the purpose of helping hacking.

I'm picking up a wireless router in the next few days.  I will see what I can do.  I have a feeling those requests will be a little harder than they sound, and they don't sound to easy, especially since I don't think anyone has been able to do it with the 360 updates.   Also, I'm not sure if I can share a firmware dump here, not sure on the legalities  for that.

What do the mods think?

But I will do what I can, and that's all I ask from everyone here with a little tech savvy.

Welll you can play emulators on the wii using a SD card adapter.People have tried swapping a retail game with a backup using GCOS,but when the backup is inserted into the Wii it resets itself everytime.
Ha Ha,look at my post count, mark of the beast.

There goes that hole virtual console thing.

For those that don't like to click links somebody has used an AR to get an emulator to run on the Wii.

yeah basically
a wii frontend to boot off of a sdcard and run the roms off of a server or external usb drive would be neat.
