Sheer Absolute Rage.
« on: November 07, 2006, 03:54:00 AM »

Just got an email from play.com informing me i will not be getting my wii on launch despite ordering it moments after the pre-orders went live on the 15th september. the same thing happenned with my 360 at launch and I had to wait 2 weeks to get one.

It's totally rediculous, I though Nintendo had enough to go around. Even if not pre-ordering so early i should of had a chance to get one. what the hell do you have to do?

Im never pre-ordering a console or any hardware from them again, i'm really pissed now.

ive done some research. Some stores here are getting as much as 100 consoles, which makes me wonder how many a massive online retailer such as play.com would be getting, beng an offical nintendo distributer an all.

i pre-ordered mine < an hour after they went live, which was at about 3pm on a friday, i was off work due to it being my birthday, how can there have been that many people pre-ordering? especially since we were notified via email that they went live with no prior warning.

Im having a rant because im upset sad.gif

Remember the days where you could just walk into the store and buy a Nintendo? Ahh, those were the days.  smile.gif

Have you considered walking into the store that has ~100 consoles and just picking one up? I don't think our store will have that many but I will probably just go pick one up that day. Is there a launch list? I think that controller might come in handy for a good baseball title.

As long as you don't live out in the middle of no where, you can probably get a Wii at launch if you're smart. I have a friend that works for Best Buy, the specific store that I'll be getting mine at launch is supposed to get ~85 consoles. One per customer rule, I'll be there a few hours before opening, there's no way there will be 80 people in line ahead of me for Wii on a Sunday morning.

ill try my best to get one from a shop,  have no idea what shops i could try over her in the UK, most of them take pre-orders.

plus it wil be a friday and i don't get off work till 3.30 and i can't get a holiday, it's hopeless.

Ya, we get the point. You don't need to post a topic AND a reply in everyone's threads.

ya, I wouldn't be too happy if after waiting in line in the fucking cold infront of wal-mart for 18 hours just to find that my Wii was busted.

on a side note, grim_d, tell me what Zelda is like if you get it, the person in line infront of me got the last one sad.gif
