The cloud of secrecy surrounding the price and the release date of the Nintendo Wii is supposed to be blown away by a North American and an European Event, both set in mid-September.

Although Nintendo officials are still extremely silent, they confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that new details about the Wii console will be revealed at a trade-only event in Europe, set on September 15.

Meanwhile, Nintendo of America is hosting a similar event one day earlier, on September 14. Reggie Fils-Aime, NoA president, chose not to disclose anything regarding the event, but chances are high that Wii's price and release date are main the reason behind it.
