It's far from complete though It seems to contain the most popular titles.

Ive had 1.5 since i got my psp, and its been fun and all, but it just ended up sitting on my desk for the last 2 months.

just last night upgraded to 3.03 oe-a, then to oe-b i think it was, and i cant believe how much easier EVERYTHING is.

simple to convert psx games to psp compatible

all homebrew works, just slide in game150 folder

psp ISO's just put in ISO folder and they show up in game menu.. too sweet.


dark_alex is a legend, pimp, and genius in the psp scene.



oh yeah, built in CSO support? that kicks ass.

I second that!!  my psp has been sitting around forever until i came accross this firmware. I upgraded and have loved it ever since. I still want to learn how to get my custom backgrounds on it again that i lost after upgrading, but it was worth it.

with 3.03 a custom background is simply putting the image in your picture folder on your memory stick, opening it, and selecting "apply as background"


right now im working on parasite eve... man.. when games used to be good. this is amazing.

time to get a 8GB memory stick.. then ill be set.

Ive got parasite eve for the original playstation but i sold my ps2 and now i have not been able to play it yet. I got it cheap somewhere because it looked cool and never got a chance to play it.  Im not sure how to go about backing up my ps1 game into a useable format for the psp though. Im just starting to get back into it. Been too busy with my wifes wii and my 360

Clone CD is a pretty easy way to rip from originals, then you have to run it through PSX2PSP, and it makes it good to go. nice compressions also.

Have a quite question about the dark alex firmwares. Ive followed the steps step by step and flashed my PSP with 3.03OE. When I check the PSP which verson it has, it says. 3.03OE. Well none of my olf homebrew works. It all works perfectly when i had 1.5. I dont know if I did something wrong or what but its not working at all.

Where are you putting it on the memory card? Homebrew should be in the GAME150 folder under PSP. This tells the PSP to run it using 1.5 FW. If you dont have a GAME!%) folder by default, create one. HTH.

Just tried that and when I move my emulators to to /PSP/GAME150 it says no games. But they will show up if I just put them in /PSP/GAMES.

I didnt have my PSP in front of me. If GAMES works, GAMES150 is the folder youre looking for.

So my friend has a PSP with 'v3.03' firmware on, brand new, untouched. He has asked me to upgrade it, I agreed as I'm a n00b but he is an even bigger n00b.. So what stages do I need to complete before I can upgrade to this firmware on his PSP? at present I have I think I have what is known as '3.03oe-C' on my comp ready but with all these numbers and versions its hard to find a definitive answer on how to go about this.
