Ive recently bought 2 jap 1000k 1.5 psp's

one was for my brother, his had no dead/stuck pixels. Unlucky for me mine had dead as well as stuck pixels, so i returned it.

So im getting another one, its a jap 1000k 1.0v...would it be best for me to get a 1.5?

will homebrew and ISO loaders work just as fine on 1.0 as it would on 1.5?

any help would be much appreciated.

there's no point in gettinga 1.0, if you get it, just upgrade to 1.5, most homebrew are now formatted for 1.5 now, so yeah, you could get it, but it'd be more trouble than it's worth, upgrade it

Nope, homebrew is preformatted for 1.5 most of the time, so with a 1.0 you'll have to convert it.

You just copy paste the apps to the game directory and you're done.

How would you get in trouble with a discussion? I'm just saying that from the homebrew I've downloaded i havent seen 1 that wasnt in 1.5 format.

Oh my goodness. You would be insane to do that.

If you get a 1.0 PSP and don't want it, I'll trade you a 1.5 or a 2.0 or whatever you want for it. 1.0 PSP's are absolutely rare and most developers would die to get their hands on one.

but you are right there were a few attemtps to create a custom firmware hybrid with beta 1.00, fw 1.5 and fw 2.00 files (eg for media file compability) but everyone already failed on the fimrwareemulator/launcher and noone wants his psp to be a genuine pig for a custom firware that didn´t even worked emulated and there is the fact that we don´t have hombrews which allow us to rewrite the whole flash

The 1.0 eboot was a special internal JAP eboot file, never ment for release. It cant be flashed to the PSP and does not work with a firmware launcher.

Its also not the "final" 1.0 firmware. It was just a beta for the JAP development team.(it's full of unfinished stuff and messy code)

Unfortunately, it is not a update eboot, because for it to be an update you would have to have a PSP with firmware lower then 1.0, and they dont exist

edit:

Theres also a 1.0 final firmware dump you can download, but 1.5 cant be downgraded to 1.0.

Correct. You can't "downgrade" to 1.0. You would be best updating to 1.5 imo.
