well I'm out on a trip right now and I was thinking how great it would be to be able to play my favorite xbox games on the PSP. I noticed that on the main screen of the PSP under the "game" section there is an icon for Memory Stick. does that mean you can load games off of the memory stick? Next I was thinking with those shiny new 2 gig memory stick duo's out you could fit a small xbox game on there (possably halo with a bunch of crap taken out like demo's and language packs). So is there a program you can load along with a smaller ISO or the files for that matter) of a game that will let you play them off the PSP? Thanks for the help and if in any way this post violates the rules delete it please.

from others replies, you can probably see the answer but let me state for the record:
no, it's not possible and probably never will be. if it is, it will run at an EXTREMELY SLOW speed. the hardware isn't even as powerful as the xbox and adding an emulation layer over that will slow it down even more, not to mention different controllers...

they might be able to get it to boot. but youll get like half a frame every 5 hours.

As everyone else said, no.
It's not a matter of having the storage space nor being able to launch unassigned code. The problem is the PSP is not the same type of hardware and runs diffrent code.
Think of it like Windows 95 computer and a Mac Classic, they are both computers but appplications that run on the windows machine doesn't run on the mac classic and appplications that run on the mac classic doesn't run on the windows machine. And the machines are to slow and underpowered to run thier own system and then run a fake version of the other on top of it.

dude i dont even own a psp and i know thats impossible. Hey maybe you can play ps3 games on a xbox, or xbox 360 on a ps2 now that would be the shiznit

I dont see why not if my sega saturn can play ps2 games then it gotta be possible!

These questions are inevitable. A while back, a thead similar to this was asking if PS2 games could be played on the Xbox...the flame war carried on for many, many pages. This will not happen here. I assume you know the answer now so thread closed.
