You might as well go and install 3.03 OE-C (if you want to customize your XMB) or 3.10 OE.

I recomend 3.03 oe-c I recently got it and I love seeing my new GOW them instead of the original theme but sam axe is right psp-hacks.com is great.

EDIT: just found this collection of tutorials HERE also youtube is great for seeing the possibilities of the psp.
