ok first off ill admit im a total newbie to the PSP Scene. ive been in the Xbox Scene for years but never got a PSP. i have a friend that wants me to flash his PSP to Dark Alax's firmware.

i have been looking around and found that the newest Dark Alax firmware is 3.10OE_A and i downloaded it and wanting to us it.

i have been looking for a tut that would walk me through what to do but so far none that i have found make since.

i have a few questions.

i know my friends PSP is not using firmware 2.71 since it asks him to update to it when he puts in PGA Tour 07. how can i tell what firmware he is running? im guessing he has 1.5 or earlier.

and does anyone know a good tut that they can point me to that will work with 3.10OE_A? or if its easy just tell me the steps.

i dont have a Media reader so i was going to do it via the USB connection.

i checked the system settings and its running 2.81

in the tut you showed me they dont mention 2.81 do you know if it will still work. (dont want to brick my buddies PSP)

also i am unable to find GTA: LCS...... even checked the local game rentals does this work with any other games or methods

after reading more tuts i have updated it to 3.03 and now just need to downgrade it.

but i am unable to find a "Original" GTA: LCS no rental shops around me have PSP games and all the ones i can buy at the gaming shops are then newer verisons. (w/ 2.60) is there another way to downgrade with out having the original GTA game?

you could wait and see if any1 makes a downgrader for 3.03, i haven't seen any other ways maby Ebay for a GTA:LCS, hope that helps any.
