What Ever Happened To Devhook?

AFAIK, the problem was that in one of the packages that was hosted on the site (a devhook .43 fix) had an unencrypted 1.5 reboot.bin file, which is illegal to distribute (much like the original xbox bios).

Devhook itself is not illegal, it is compiled without the Sony SDK and contains no Sony Copyrighted files.
Boosters hosting company kinda got a little bit spooked by Sony and took down everything, which they were not required to do. It looks like he's still working on it, he hasnt said otherwise, so fingers crossed.

At the moment devhook is as far as it can come untill 2.8 if fully dumped and decrypted, but its using a completely new set of keys, so this could take a while unless an new exploit is found.

Devhook rules, basicly its one of (if not) the best apps on the PSP. Aslong as we are still able to to keep dumping and decrypting the firmwares, were set, and i hope he keeps working on it. And (apparently) acording to the people who built the UP mod chip, they have found a way of booting all future firmwares from the 1.0 ipl, which is great news because it basicly means we'll have alot more access to the firmware then we should have.

Hope this answers your question and makes sence. Im not too well at the moment and am pretty wrecked from all the medication, its better then been drunk. lol. laugh.gif
