wow.. ive never read of a UMD movie that required a firmware update... ill check the other sites and see if i come up with anything

edit: all i found , is that it will more than likely update to 2.6 firmware, making your precious 1.5 a useless (in my opinion) 2.6 with minimal homebrew,

try the uhhh... whats it called.. WAB version changer, that tricks your psp into thinking its got whatever firmware you want it to. that should work for movies.

Just so people know, I had to update to 2.6 when I wanted to run Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (UK version). It should really say on the box if you have to upgrade, some people might not be able to watch the movie they bought if they don't want to upgrade, Sony are really just being little *****es.
