When I connect my PSP to my computer I get the error "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Is there something obvious that I am doing wrong?

Sounds like a problem with your USB port rather then your PSP.

Does it do this with every USB port, or just the one?

btw, i have seen this problem before on dead USB ports, i hope that is not your problem.

yeah, try it on your other usb ports, unless you have only 1

also try it on another computer

if that still doesnt work, go get a new cable, i picked mine up with a cahrger, and a car adapter for 10 bucks

Sorry to bring back an old post, I am new to PSP, and am having this issue. The weird thing is, both usb ports work, cord works, and psp works on other laptop. Why is it still giving me an error message, it worked initially but then stopped somehow..dang microsoft. Thanks in advance for your help!
