I did a network update on my us psp the other day , and there's a firmware update, i'm guessing i should not update? correct?

and can someone give me of an estimate of how close we are to getting apps to run on the 1.5 firmware, or it's not possible at all? because i heard somewhere that psp games now are requiring a forced firmware update, so are we close to getting apps to run on 1.5 firmware or what?

You can run homebrew on 1.5 now, and for God's sake don't update.
