Look on the forums for 'xboxhdm' and 'SlaYers 2.7'

If you spend about 5 minutes looking you will work it out.

So you have used xboxhdm?

I recently destroyed my hard drive and by hotswapping into xboxhdm I was able to erase the partition table and create a new one.

While creating a new one it failed but it was enough for me to reboot my pc, hotswap again and this time load xbrowser (before I used xboxhd). With xbrowser I tabbed across to the hard drive section, deleted the corrupt but slightly working C and E folders and copied over new C and E folders from the CD.

The folders I used were straight from SlaYers 2.7 (I never used the whole program because it wouldn't burn, just copied the original files from there).

To get the C and E folders on xboxhdm just place them in the corresponding folders residing in xboxhdm/linux folder before running make-iso-win.bat.

That should work.

Goodluck.

*EDIT* If you have a hard modded xbox there are easier ways im sure. I have a softmodded xbox and thus, the longer way of fixing things.

Just thought..
Is the C: folder on that Slayers 2.7 disc an untouched folder or has Slayers added to it?

I put the C: folder off slayers disc into an image created using xboxhdm and had xboxhdm rebuild the HD but afterwards the C: drive seems to be pretty much full!

Should have added that the drive seemed pretty full AFTER I used Ndure to softmod it..
I believe that this creates a "shadow" of the C: drive so I guees that takes up a chunk..

I used xboxhd to rebuild the fatx partition table so to completely wipe the drive but files were still there!
I`ll try Flashfxp with the raw commands to wipe the drive.

Thanks for the info..

Hey man, is your xbox softmodded? Or do you have a mod chip in it? If it's softmodded, just put back in the mech assault cd or whichever game you used for the softmod, and run the linux exploit again, then you will see a option there that says remove softmod. Click that and it will be back at the factory state.

Used TextBook`s excellent tut : http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=496263

Installed KingroachÂ’s NDURE 3.0 softmod and all now ok  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Thanks guys.. and BIG thanks to Textbook n Kingroach for making softmoding much less of a headache for hotswapping.
