Xbox Rendomly Not Powering On
« on: August 06, 2007, 02:18:00 PM »

Can some one help me.
My xbox is acting very strange when i press power button it turns green then 2 second later turns off then turns on automatically. after that some times green/red flashing. it looks like it dose not have enough power to boot up. then in few minutes it will turn on normally.
i opened it up tested the power cable in that moment it drops  the 6v and 12v power for moment then brings it back any ideas? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Do you have a mod installed???
If so, try removing it entirely to see if your box starts normally. If it does, then the problem is with the mod itself (unlikely) or it was how you installed it. (Poor soldering around LPC bus or pinheader not making good contact etc).

Try flashing it with the M8 bios. The early Xecuter bios is a tad old.

I knew it wouldn't be problems with your PSU.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Unfortunately I'm not overly familiar with softmods. Perhaps try redoing the softmod, otherwise try installing a modchip.
