Dos Commands
« on: November 06, 2008, 07:26:00 AM »

i wrote a batch file that creates a backup of my thumb drive whenever i plug it in. and now im trying to write a batch file that will delete the old contents of the backup folder.

the problem is that whenever i use RMDIR it also removes the backup folder, which i want to keep. if i use DEL, then it only deletes the files and not the folders in the backup directory.

can somebody point me in the right direction to get everything out of that backup folder when i run the batch file...

del c:\backup\*.*

rd directory_name

Don't use /s
