Hey, so I've seen many mods on the scene, but something I think would be really cool is a cd/dvd drive like the wii's or ps3's. The type without the drive tray you just insert the disk into the slot.

I've searched and found that they would not be able to play original games. But what if I got a Samsung Slot loading drive, and flashed it with the original xbox samsung drive firmware?
Or
Could you use the original drive to softmod your xbox, than once softmodded, switch drives and begin playing backups?
