Samsung Sdg-605 Only Ejects And Does Nothing Else

I have a samsung drive out of a 1.6 xbox and it is having some problems. I eject the drive, put a cd in, and close it, it opens back up right after. It doesnt try to read the disc or anything. It just immediatly ejects after I close it with a disc in it. It doesn't matter what kind of disc it is either. Anyone else have a problem like this?
