Real C:\ or shadowc?  And what do you mean you can't access it?  Do you get an error?

It is possible its empty if you have a softmod that uses a shadow C:\, and you haven't got an msdash on it..  Its also possible that you need to refresh the flashfxp directory cache..  If it is a shadowc, then typically you can disable it, but how depends on what softmod package you used..  On the otherhand, if you download PBL (Phoenix Bios Loader) or another bios loader, and a BFM bios you could run the bios loader like an app and override your softmods protective features until power-down..  You'd need to make sure you have a dash file where the bfm bios expects to find one btw..
On the otherhand, you probably wouldn't want to do that unless you have a good reason, and good understanding of the softmod's workings..  Messing up the real C:\ will frag your softmod..
How much free space do you have on C:\ out of curiousity?  And do you have MSDash functionality?

Well, MSDash needs to be run from c:\ regardless of whether shadowc is enabled or not, even though it sounds like it is..  I don't uinderstand why you can't just upload msdash to c:\ if you have that much free space..  Unless it gives you an error when trying to store files there through ftp, or copying from another location, but I don't se why it would..  I think you just have an empty shadowc, and your true c:\ is hidden for protection..  If you get an error, post it..

it sounds like the shadowC.img is write protected this sometimes happens with xboxHDM
when in XBMC (newer versions) the H:\ is the real C:\
ftp that file to your PC and check the attributes reset if needed, then FTP it back

do not mess with any files in H:\ unless you know what your doing
it will not let you delete the shadowc\shadowC.img
you must first run the NDTS (tool set) to gain access to it (it will now be the real C now)
FTP it out then back (check attributes before sending it back)
then reboot and you should be able to FTP the MS dash files to C:\

QUOTE
What do you mean?
it is a app that is with the NDURE installer
if you did not install it when you did the softmod you can FTP it to you apps folder and run it

Can you reformat the shadowc in evox or unleashx?  Its safe to try as long as the C:\ you see is empty..  Do NOT format the true c:\ (duh) smile.gif

How would you go about just reformating one file like that in UnleashX or EvoX?  I found nothing in EvoX whatosever about formatting, and UnleashX tool set, I can actually repair retail dash, restore C drive, and restore C drive from Sl (Pretty sure it's Slayer's disc which doesn't matter considering my DVD drive is dead...).  Going into that UnleashX tool set, I can also go under filemanager and even access the C: drive and everything is in there...including the shadowc.img, but I can't do anything but rename it, delete it, move it, those kind of actions, no format...  Should I just try to repair retail dash?  Will it even do anything though?
