Ive had this Xbox for around 5 months with no problems. The mod chip that was already installed is Duo X3 (most likely a clone). To boot off this chip I need to hold the power button on for a few seconds, however recently its been having problems booting off the modchip to the EvoX dash installed.
What happens is the first 1-2 seconds while its turning on, the xbox keeps rebooting and loading off the MS dash. When it loads the MS dash, the setting clock option comes up (the clock resets). If I dont try to boot off the mod chip (not holding the power button), the xbox works normally and loads MS dash without the clock resetting or any other problems.
If i keep trying to boot off the mod chip, the 3rd time it stays on with no output at all to the screen and eject button flashing red and green.
I thought it may be loose connections with the solder so I resoldered everything on the chip; however that didnt seem to help. Also Ive noticed that the L2 on the chip did not have any wire going to it and was not connected to anything. When i first started to get the problem, I left the xbox on for around 2 hours on the MS dash and it did load off the chip, however now even that does not seem to be working now.
Any suggestions on what the problem could be?
