I would actually go for AOL Platinum, I'm on gold and I have a full 2mb/s connection 24/7 (2mb/s the fastest I can get atm). As long as you don't talk to their customer service and use their browser they are a decent ISP.

Up till recently, AOL said I could only get 512kb/s it took a while to convince their customer service that BT said I can get 2mb/s  mad.gif

I wouldn't recommend tiscali, I have heard a lot of stories about them capping speeds at peak rates and Pipex are pretty bad I hear too.

AOL is the way to go, especially if you wanna make use of the unlimited bandwidth smile.gif Also if you have a problem with with your line AOL manage to send BT out to fix it faster than BT sending themselves out to fix it, I don't know how that works  blink.gif

Go for Pipex then beerchug.gif
I was just speaking from my personal AOL experience smile.gif

I have read on many a forum about Tiscali capping their speeds, I don't know if this is the case everywhere but still...

I would go ahead and give Pipex a try.

I would definitley not go with AOL. Don't mean to sound nasty, but AOL really is nothing but trouble. Most people who suggest AOL have no idea how much junk AOL puts on their computer, or how badly it's screwing their computer up.

You don't need AOL's software on your computer.

They are the most reliable ISP I have every had, just don't use their software and their fine.

ive been with pipex for about 5 years now, they are slightly more expensive than others but ive never had much of A problem with them and the free webspace is always handy smile.gif

The service rarely goes down and the one time i did have a problem, pipex even contacted BT and got an engineer out for me smile.gif (phone line problem not pipex)
