im testing this out on a 10 gig hard drive

if anyone knows ubuntu and could help me out with it that would be great (i know i need wine for window programs)

Install video card drivers first.  Ubuntuforums are amazing.  Tutorials for everything.

ok i managed to mount my 80 gig slave so now i can access all of my goodies that i had (music movies etc)
how do i use wine?
when i did the automatrix what not it asked if i would like that added to my linux
then it said something like in order to activate wine you ned to run  something something

i dont know what im spose to run to wine to work

any help would be nice

whatever windows app you want to run, it should run it automatically with wine, or right click and select "open with WINE". Not to shit your thread man, but have you/anyone gotten CS2 to work with ubuntu?

thats what i want to try

i have seen a few people saying that they got cs2 to work with VMware

if anyone has any eperience with ubuntu please feel free to post your knowledge

i got cs2 to work for like 15 minutes
i started making a little piece of proof (ghost on cs2 9/7 etc) but then it said missing file error cannot run and it shut down
