Is there a life span for data stored on flash drives? I find they're so easy compared to CD/DVD's and
i was wondering if it would be worth it to get one. How does the retention compare to discs?

i bought a 512 mb one for my computer classes at school

they are very handy little things and i always have mine on my key chain (except for right now its in my computer)

i got mine on newegg.com for about 33 bucks

mine is :
water proof
can withstand a fall 10,000 times its size
activity light
not too bulky
about 2 inches in size
has a keychain holder
and has a rubbery grip

"Junk drives" - I just thought thats what they were called. (popularity)

Are they designed to store data forever?
are they ram? Do they have a battery life?

They look pretty cool. And they look more durable than a disc.
