got broken xbox, was told it had a bad firmware or eeprom.  i looked at the board and it had some bad soldering done at the alt D0 point and the traces from the alt D0 to the two point that it was supposed to goto were damaged.  i bridged those two points and ran a wire to a modchip from it.  with chip in, xbox boots to unleashx, when i go to shut down, it turns it off and immediately turns back on.  same happens when modchip is removed and in ms dash i hit the power button.

when xbox boots, it opens the dvd rom drive.  when i hit power button, it closes, then reopens when it restarts


xbox is a 1.4, it has modified 616t that read everything great, original hd, Duo x2, with xecuter x2 5035  bios.  

any suggestions???  any common cause???  should i redo all the D0 trace fixes???  i dont know what to do.

it turned out my mobo was missing a 10K pullup resistor.  i stole one off of a network card i had laying around and all is working now.
