This is an outgrowth of a super slimbox (you can see it
here) I was doing and all was going well until I blew the PSU but it's fixed now but here's a problem I was having shortly before the PSU problem. The xbox turns off shortly after the flubber animation or just after the dashboard boots. It actually doesn't turn off but the screen goes black and the fans increase in speed and in order to turn it off I have to unplug it. Unsure what it would be.
The xbox is a v1.0 with the TSOP split (retail and xecuter 2) and it doesn't matter which bios I boot from. The HDD is a laptop HDD with a converter to the IDE cable (i've tried it on another xbox with the no problems). I made a custom ON/OFF push button that I've tested on others and even tried an original on the slimbox but the problem still exists. I've checked for splatter and obvious physical issues.
