i have a broken xbox v1.0.  it doesnt boot at all, no dash, no flubber screen,  just black screen.  the xbox itself does turn on,  the hdd spins, fans turn on, disc tray opens and closes,  but nothing on the screen.

i figured i'd try to put a  chip in to  see if it worked, so  i  installed a muppet x chip and flashed M8 and to my surprise it boots up fine with the chip on.  everything runs smoothly.

BUT it really bothers me that it cannot boot the  original bios, when the  chip is  disabled. And the muppet x chip works by holding in the power  button a couple seconds,  and now, if you turn it on any other way, with the eject or just  tapping the power button,  the hdd  makes a beeping noise, and the xbox turns off and on a couple times, flashes red and green.

so my question is

how do i make it so the chip is enabled no matter how  you turn the xbox on, so my xbox doesnt frag out everytime someone turns it on who doesnt know the trick?
