newegg legally HAS to charge tax if youre in the same state.. even if they have only a shipping center in your state..

and you bought the 9800 @ zipzoomfly? 229 is an outrageous price for a 9800 pro.. for 239 you could have gotten a 6600GT which almost DOUBLES the performance of the 9800

6600GT Benchmarks at Anandtech, 6600GT is a better choice.

11 6600 GT Brands compared at Anandtech

Do some benchmarks with your current setup and compare them to these.

on the timedemo in doom 3 I got 63.4 FPS on 1024x768 with medium settings, in 3dmark03 I got 5887

63.4 and 5887 are good enough scores for a 9800 Pro. With a 6600GT you would see more like 90-100FPS D3 and 7500 with 3DMark, I'll guess. Try Counter Strike Source Stress test and Aquamark 3D for more proof of performance.

For more system performance max out your RAM timings and try Omegadrivers.net for great ATI drivers.

I think Anandtech reccomended the Albatron 6600 GT for OC'ng and cooling.
