I had the Christmas lights problem, restarts 3 times then frags, which is caused by a messed up TSOP. Thsi can be fixed with a modchip. I installed an xecuter 2.6ce, came with no pin header or wire header so I used some wire that was in a phone power plug, good thick wire. Now when i turn the xbox on it Restarts 3 times, then flashes orange and can't be powered off by the power button. I shut it back off, while it was off I moved the chip and 2 wires came unsoldered, not very good soldering job holding it on, but I didn't notice these adn I turned it back on and it did the stander christmas lights thing. I shut it off again and I resoldered those wires and it did the restart X3 adn orange flashing thing. I checked for solder splash and crossed wiring and it was all good.
