Installing A New Hard Drive
« on: May 08, 2007, 09:39:00 PM »

Well I don't like to post stupid questions, or at least one's that are answered easily by searching, but I'm out of options here.

I have a modded xbox with an Xecuter 2 chip and a 120 gig Hard drive.

I want a larger drive, because I'm running out of space and I hate deleting stuff and having a mess of disks around everywhere.

I have a few questions.

How big of a HDD can I get? I was able to find out I can't have a partition bigger than 323(?) gigs on F or it will be corrupted, but what's the max size an xbox can read?

And

If I was to buy a new Hard-Drive, how hard is it to copy my 120 to the new one? I have alot of music I don't want to lose, and some games and movies as well. I'd like to be able to just install a new 500 gig HDD with all my old stuff on it and have it work without too much hassle.

I'm pretty tech savvy, and I understand most of the concepts with the Xbox, I'm just lost on a few things ( I didn't do the mod myself.)
