Spybot Search and Destroy and Adaware are good for spyware in general, but I don't know if they look for keyloggers.

Then try Tuneup Utilities 2004.  It's pretty simple and user-friendly.  It has a free trial.  It will clean up and speed up your computer.  It also has a "Startup Manager" where you can see what all is starting up in the background.

Ok thank the one found what it says to be a key logger in the system files. Can someone please go into the system folder and see if they have a file there called "svrhost.exe" and then go into system 32 and see if you have "HLib.dll" and or "HUtils.dll" cause it says that those are the keylogger files. Thanks alot

If you are running XP you could just use msconfig to disable any key logging software.

A variety of spyware and virus programs will add themsevles back into the registry if you remove them, so msconfig does not solve all problems.

Yes it would  rolleyes.gif

These programs have to start as a service ( unless it is a hardware logger ) and msconfig can controle what services start at start up. If you disable everything besides what you need then it will not start and will not be able to do crap to the registry.

Except, I've run into spyware programs and viruses that can't be killed.  Try stopping the service, won't stop.  Lots of fun.  The only way to remove it is in safemode.

And you have better control of services by going start->run->services.msc than msconfig.

The startup tab there doesn't show everything that starts up in the background.
