Does This Motherboard Have Built In Graphics Card?
« on: December 11, 2004, 07:56:00 AM »

As far as I know, all nForce chipsets include integrated graphics, but it's probably something along the lines of a Geforce 2.  I'll get back to you after checking out this board myself.

EDIT: I was incorrect, this particular board has no onboard video.

While all of the Athlon XP NForce chipsets have built in video the motherboard maker must make use of it.

The card they put on the chipset is a Geforce 2 MX which is really a TNT2.

It is part of every single nForce chip that is made for Athlon XPs ( nForce 1 & 2 ).

I have built a few for work that had integrated graphics enabled with dual display capability and the motherboard still had an AGP 8X slot. So just because it does have an AGP slot does not mean it does not have the int. graphics enabled.

With this option

Untrue, many motherboards have onboard video in addition to an AGP slot, giving users a choice to upgrade later.

I don't understand then why this board advertised a graphic chipset. It even has a heat sink on the motherboard in the photo which I am assumeing it would be the video chip.....

In the description you posted it never once says it has intergrated graphics.

That heat sink you see is for the chipset, which 90% of motherboards have now.

That board does not have intergrated graphics enabled.

I believe sans is Latin for without.
