Has anybody else used those BETA drivers from ATI?

When I installed them I got about 7 "Unknown Devices" in my Device Manager, and they were all Radeon 9700 All-In-Wonders.  No matter what I did I couldn't get rid of them, so I went back to the last full release.

Anybody else have this problem?

im using them. no probs here.

hmm..this is good stuff. using a radeon9600 PRO. it was at 800x600 medium quality, now high quality, 1024x768.
ive got 512MB ddr400 dual channel.

actually, its half decent at 1280x1024 ULTRA settings lol...massive framerate drops at times, generally very annoying to play.

huh.gif  800 x 600 this can't be right. So i bumped it up to 1024 x whatever and Ran Doom 3. It was so jerky that my kid sister thought I was playing Gumbe the game laugh.gif

Damn that game takes a tax on your system ph34r.gif  Can't wait to try the tweaks out on this system and the tweaks and drivers on my 9800 pro system wink.gif

hey ravage73 Major Thanx for that link.

Side not Doom 3 is a amazing game. I orginally thought that it would compeletly cripple all mid-range systems. But it hasn't given the succes stories here. Jhon Carmack is a GENIUS. He built a graphics engine that can conform to just about anyones setup and look great ohmy.gif  ohmy.gif  biggrin.gif
