I have one of those internal USB port connectors. It’s that thing you screw into the back of the case like a PCI card and it has a cable that plugs into the MB. Anyway this thing came with an older ASUS MB which had USB 1.0. I don’t think USB 2.0 was even out yet.
So now I have a new MB which has USB 2.0 and I’m wondering what if anything will happen if I use this old connector. It does have the same amount of pins and plugged right in. I don’t think it would have hurt anything, but I had just got the MB and didn’t want to take any chances.
