Hmm maybe I just need to update my Creative Sound Blaster Live Drivers? I hope that's the only problem. I know id got a lot of crap because they didn't give a shit about audio done from Creative. They did all their SOund in the software so Creative Labs wasn't happy...cause you know they wanted to sell more cards like Nvidia and ATI does with all that "BUILT FOR AND PLAYED BEST ON" stuff. Anyway I will update my drivers and let you know what I find out......if anyone else has sound probelms let me know....

Those of you with 9700/9800 based cards should probably set the game at 1024x768 with medium quality only if high quality is too choppy for your likes.

laugh.gif I'm constantly pausing the game when the monsters burst out of the stairwells and knock over walls. I'm at a part where the lights just went out and I hear the monsters coming. I saved and exited the game at that part. tongue.gif

Anyone had any of the sound problems I had mentioned?  I am still experiencing a good FPS rate but the sound just keeps skipping way too much

im using a 9600PRO. anyone have another 9600 card and figured out what's the optimum settings?  I have it at medium quality, 640x480, no 3d sound. thats the best i could do to get it near 100% smooth.

Those are the best user posted images of doom 3 i have seen.  I was starting to be afraid it didn't look like the id screenshots.

So whats under the hood (you got a hemi haha)

No matter of fact my comp is quite outdated lol updating soon but i can run on high quality 3d sound i guess i have klipsch pro media 4.1 or whatever but yea

PC SPECS

Processor - Pentium 4 2.2 ghz 800 fsb
Video Card - Geforce 4 Ti 4600
Ram - 512 megs DDR

umm thats it really
Running doom on medium graphics makes it run smoother  but it runs on high so im happy

POs scared me after the monsters come out and you get back to the sppot where you get your armor... lol a lil passed that i walk up the stairs and a fuckin monster pops outta the stiars and im like FUUUUCK my speakers blastin...

QUOTE (xFusioNx @ Aug 4 2004, 09:03 AM)
ATI just released a beta driver that improves Doom3 performance for most users.

I havent used it as mine runs silky smooth and i only get  a hiccup after a map loads and the first enemy attacks me. It's a slight pause that I think has nothing to do with my card, but rather loading. Don't ask me how, this rig is ultra fast but whatever. It's not even noticable. After taht initial problem, this game is beautiful.

Anyway.....

I just flew back in from Hell with the Soul Cube and boy are my arms tired!

muhaha.gif

where is the groan smiley for that joke!  tongue.gif

ANyway any links to the ATI DOOM 3 Beta Driver?
