Need Help With An Ebay Auction For A Tft Screen

ok, heres the auction
and i just want to what exactly kind of monitor it is, how does it hook up, and if the monitor flickers at high resolutions, what would be an easy solution, use lower resolutions??

i was also wondering

all 9800 pro ATI Radeon cards are 256 bit interface right?

I think the ati brand is 128-bit, but sapphire is pretty much 256.

i dont think so, i know saphire were selling 9800 pros with 128 bit interfaces recently, and on ati.com it says the pro is 256 bits

meh, i think ill stick with the hercules

Maybe I mixed them up. But, anyways I found a good deal on a 9800 XT 256 so im probably just going with that.

An LCD monitor works with digital signals, whereas a CRT (i.e., TV-like monitor with a picture tube) uses analog signals.  If you get a plain 'ol analogue video card, no matter how good a card it is, you're converting the digital signals from your computer to an analog signal in the video card, and then it's being converted back to digital inside the monitor.  The result is a loss of clarity that's not worth the savings from not having a straight digital connection between the graphics card and the monitor.

Yes it will work, but only on an alnlogue VGA connector and at a maximum resolution of 1204x768


look out for a cheap NEC 1760NX. it's a 17" TFT with DVI (digital interface) 1280x1024 resolution and a fast response time of 16ms which is perfect for gaming

yea, but recently they had a press release saying they sold 9800 pros with 128 bit interface without telling anyone clearly
but i decided im getting a hercules
