Thought it was a pretty good argument until name calling came into play

You could say that Nemt's comment on Linux users being 'banes' is as much name-calling as what I did. You make that judgement.
And, last but not least..... and it's much more mature to say 'OOHH, yoz P0WN#D", by far, than to make a good, debatable point? Seems to be yet another tactic you devolve to when you cannot back your wild claims, Nemt.

I see your point Large Dopant White, please do not take offense to my last post, but I also have believed in what nemt says about open-source software for awhile... I like it for small apps and mid-size apps, but if the general public begins using it to control their computers (such as an OS) more, then I see a downfall in the near future following...

Wow, you guys would hate to see what my book shelfs look like.......
Honestly, there's books behind the porn.......

Anyway, the point is, every arguement nemt makes against Linux can be made just as easily against FreeBSD. I don't get how he can attack one and then praise the other. It doesn't make sense. The only reason he like's one over the other is due to the philosophy behind why it was created. As much as I'd love to chose my PC's OS based on personal ideals, I'll stick with what works best for me. ATM, Slackware wins.

I do well enough in DOS to not need the manual. And I may have a copy of it anyway. I went on a little spending spree when my university was clearing out a lot of surplus books. I got some great stuff really cheap.

I may need to install DOS anyway. I've gotten an old copy of the remake of Space Quest 1 and I can't get the damn thing to play under XP.
