Help
« on: February 18, 2004, 07:44:00 PM »

Hi I did something to the settings of how I go on the college server, this happened after I setup two NIC's on the computer and configured for xbox access. Can anyone help me solve my problem? At least to allow me to log on to an IRC, by the way my campus has a firewall, but IRC is supposed to work through it anyway.
Thx in advanced...

Well, what operating system are you using? What are the ip address set on your nics?

If your cards are on the same logical network then it could be a problem.

using xp, and I odn't understand what a logical network is.
One NIC is configured for the xbox
the other NIC is conficgured for internet, and allowing the xbox to access internet.

This is the basic setup; you don't need to change anything on your 'internet nic' card:
Basic Networking Using EvolutionX

What's the exact problem?  No internet access from pc or xbox?

What are the ip address set on your nics?
Logical network the same subnet. For example if IP connected with college network is 192.168.0.something and your subnet is 255.255.255.0, your PC to Xbox nic's ip can not be 192.168.0.someting.
