Problems With Upload Speed
« on: December 16, 2003, 05:59:00 PM »

uuuummmmm.......not sure whether this will apply for you or not but mine sucked ass too at first because I had to use an ethernet adapter because my old mobo didn'y have one built in. The adapter allowed me to use internet through a usb port. Well, the usb port was usb 1.0 which really slowed it down. If you can plug it directly in you pc you will notice a speed boost. Again not sure if this will apply for you becuz I skimmed your post but I hope it will help.

It could be one of a few things.

First, what is your DL/UL speeds?  It's not weird to see 10MB download, but only 256KB upload from some providers.  Most people don't upload, and most providers don't want the users to upload.  The save upload bandwidth for small businseses that need the bandswidth.

Also, are the clients able to download elsewhere at fast speeds?  How many clients are downloading 15kb/s at once?

charter ahs everyone's uplaod limtied to 128, trust me I use them as well but I was fortunate to get a 512 package b4 they changed so I still retain that package.  You can't speed it up unless u get a faster uplaod package, they offer a 384 upload I believe it's a litle better but nothing amazing.
