Cd Burning Issues

Ok I have had this problem too many times.  I am using Nero Burning rom version 6.x.x.x and whenever I attempt to burn an ISO of a game it will burn flawlessly only it will crash during the installation progress or the disk will be unreadable.

Windows XP Professional
AMD 1800+
512 DDR

Anyone have any ideas???
