How Can I Run Counter-strike

i want CS only to take up half my screen or something, how can i make it run in a window liek that???

Usually if a game has that option, it's in settings, under video.  I don't have CS, so I can't tell, but usually there's a checkbox for window options.

Alternatively, if the game asks for display configuration when you start the game, its there.

what u tried was software mode, and it does look liek crap

there is a proggie that makes HL run in windowed mode, but u are forced to run in software mode, and cause i hat ecs, i just give a big ol' fuck you!

yea, n e ways im in openGL mode, for a few reasons  rolleyes.gif , j/p. but i am using openGL.....

Hey man, not too familiar with CS on the PC, just on XBOX Live but I did a quick google search and
found a few things for you to try.

Hopefully, this first suggestion will work for you.  It is supposedly the Windows solution to running CS
in a window.  Basically, they tell you to run hl.exe from a command prompt with a couple extra switches,
seems easy.

If that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you.  They seem to have no problem running CS in a
window on Linux.  Here are some links to those articles, maybe the Windows version has the same
file they are talking about and you can edit it the same way?
