Need Help With >137gb Hdd
« on: March 18, 2007, 10:38:00 PM »

I have a 250 GB HDD that I have been wanting to put into my Xbox. I have read and read, but I must be reading in the wrong places. I'm not looking for a spoon feed or a handout. All I am asking for is a kick in the rear to get me on the right track. I will start by telling you what I have and what my skills levels are.

I have a v1.0 and a v1.1. I don't know which one I am using now, but they are the same anyway. Right now I am running Xbox Media Center, latest version, on a 5400 RPM Maxtor HDD. I have it running in a network and share movies from my pc and watch them on the Xbox all the time. I can obtain the eeprom image from an Xbox with a bad HDD, even if it has a bad power supply, and build a new HDD from scratch using NDure and xboxhdm. I have an image I have created with generic fonts to work on all Xbox's. All I have to do is add the eeprom using Magic ISO, save and burn it, then boot my PC with it. I would attach it, but I can't attach any files. Also, I run my Xbox's Softmodded.

With that said, I am looking for a "nibble" here, not the whole spoon, LOL. Can some one point me toward a thread or guide on hard drives larger than 137GB for softmodding?

Thank you very much.

I feel pretty stupid now. I've been searching and searching. I finally decided to break down and ask, then I find it in the very next post I looked in (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) .
