Gamecube Jewel Advice

Hey all, i'm new to this site, but not to modding. However, it was my first time trying to mod a Gamecube.

I checked out and thought i could mod the jewel to make it a sort of Crystal clear, Aqua looking jewel, i did a similar process on my xbox, used the dental floss removal, cleared the coat, added some elmers clear glue gel to make to look like an aqua/stained mirror thing, really love it.

tried the similar process on my gamecube, but just does'nt work, so now, i need to ask some advice, what's either a cheap way to get a replacement jewel,

OR

how can i mod it to throw some purple LED

MIND YOU I THREW THE JEWEL OUT, IT WAS TO STAINED TO DO ANYTHING WITH OR TO RECOVER ITS CONDITION
