hello here is what I can diagnose so far... I softmodded it saved all the files from c and e ftp'd them to my pc. saved the eeprom and put a bigger hdd in it softmodded the 80gb with the contents of c and e on the softmod cd and it all worked.
I could use xbox media center all the dash functioned properly everything worked for a week.
yesterday all was working fine. I left out to go to town and unplugged the power as so no one in my house would mess anything up. When I came home plugged it back in and now it freezez right when the light changes from green to orange,(where the unleash x splash screen would be but never comes up). It just sits @ a black screen.
So I figured something got corrupted and I took the hdd out unlocked it with the xboxhdm bootdisk, wiped the fatx partiontable, re-softmodded it locked it, and put it back in. It froze exact same place same thing... so i tried it with a different drive built disk from scratch softmodded with ndure put the drive in the xbox and the same thing it goes past the xbox load screen microsoft comes up under the green X logo then goes away like notml with no error codes and then the screen flashes the light turns from green to orange and it just sits there.
Any suggestios would be appriciated. I have changed the hard drive the cables tested everything i could to see if it had the appropriate voltages everything seems 2 be working on the inside of the box both the gpu and back fans work normally. The back fan even spins up a bit faster as it would when unleash x dash was running. I even changed the cables from the xbox to standard video cables thinking it might be some weird screen format that my hd doesnt support... all the same i can see everything boot then once the led on front changes to orange the screen goes black and sits... I let it sit for over 30 min and still nothing on screen no led flashes or error codes there ethier. If need be i can take a video and post to youtube and put a link in this thread... just wondering why all of a sudden it just died.
